The 22nd Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors was held in Beijing on Sept 11.
More than 500 representatives including attorney generals, ministers of justice, and procurators from 98 countries and regions were present at the opening ceremony.
Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress warmly welcomed the representatives.
Gerhard Jarosch, president of the International Association of Prosecutors, said that with the growth of science, technology and the global economy, human beings are confronted with new challenges, but by working together we can come up with different measures to combat crime and protect our social security.
Representatives at the conference discussed investigation and prosecution of emerging crime patterns based on the dark web, and new ways of evidence collection and case presentation.
